Inspection, Maintenance & Repair
Cybernetix proposes a new system dedicated to subsea I.M.R. (Inspection, Maintenance, Repair) works which does not require the support of a multi-task boat.
SWIMMER System is based on a hybrid concept consisting in an AUV shuttle transporting a ROV down to underwater stations interfaced to subsea production units. The ROV uses the power and real-time data transfer from the SPS umbilical and is operated from the surface production facility or a vessel of opportunity. To maximize the benefits of such concept, it is foreseen that the SWIMMER will be deployed for specific, long duration missions, during which the vehicle will remain subsea without assistance from a support vessel.
The SWIMMER concept is aimed at reducing the Operating Expenditures (OPEX) associated with the inspection and maintenance of subsea facilities once they are installed and operational throughout the life span of an offshore field.
